Counselling & Psychotherapy

What is it?

Background_10.jpg

"The provision of professional assistance and guidance in exploring personal or psychological problems.”

Definition

Mental health issues can have a profound impact on our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Therapy sessions can provide a safe and confidential space, to help people come to terms with any issues they may be facing.

The aim of therapy is to help people understand and explore how they feel, using skills to help them manage emotions effectively. Some people may only require therapy for a short space of time to help them overcome something specific that they are experiencing at present, whilst others may be seeking more long term therapy to explore situations, reoccurring patterns and ongoing feelings in more depth. It really isn’t just one size fits all!

and you don’t have to put on a mask… you can just be you.”
